Do any of you have limits on how muscular you'd like a woman to be.  How muscular is too muscular to you?

We may have to use DA FM artists for example.

This is an interesting question. I know some people literally don't have a limit. However, they may have 'smaller' preferences, for practicality's sake. Anyway, I better leave it to someone more knowledgable on that.

I'm similar though, in that my limit is bigger than my standard preference.
I would say this is my lower end:

and this is my higher end:

and how I'd like particular characters depends on what I feel suits their personality.

Although, after hanging around the community for 2 years now, I'm finding that my upper limit is getting bigger and bigger! :O I blame you all for that *goes and scribbles another megababe*

Personally I like muscles as big as they can get, but not so much height.  Oh if a 5'2" cutie ends up a 6'2" rippling amazon, I'm hardly going to object...but when the heights start getting up to 7' and 8'...well I guess I'd need to get a stepladder or something.

I'm, um, not very tall m'self.  But I make up for it in other ways.  Wink

@Clark: Height vs width is something I've been wanting to wrap my head around. For example, if a 5'2" cutie has 100m of muscle all around, how would "reach" her? I'm thinking about your stepladder example, but I'm guessing that there are different considerations when it comes to width.

I think my writing probably serves as an example of the variances I enjoy among muscular women conceptually.   Obviously, I have no problem with extreme muscle growth (Sylth is around 3/4 tons at just a bit over 5 feet tall)  and other characters tend to be much more realistically proportioned.  On a side note, there's a thread over at Lingster's site that deals with how to measure artwork (and also how to deal with those measurements in reverse for proper artsy folks...)

Random topic resurrection ftw.

Muscle mass and height both work on a very wide range for me, but just based on the way I draw I seem to have a preference for pretty big and tall (7-8 ft usually).
But the muscles can get pretty big for me without hitting a limit, but once you get into the really over-the-top stuff, it depends on how its drawn. Mika, your mega-size drawings are great and I absolutely love them, and at the same time there are others who draw similar or larger size and I just can't enjoy it as much because of their particular drawing style. Can't name any particulars really, but even then it's nothing against them, just a personal thing.

Ah, thanks Dagwam. Yeah, it's a really personal thing. The funny thing is that sometimes I draw them too big for the person I was drawing for. It's a constant experimentation for me. Though the best rule-of-thumb I've found so far is to draw it in the way that's most pleasing to the artist, and there's a better chance some viewers (even if not all) will like it too.
